RCME Presents - Jim Kouzes - A Leader’s Legacy - Santa Clara University
Leadership expert and co-author of the best-selling The Leadership Challenge, Jim Kouzes takes on a unique challenge and explores the question of leadership and legacy. In this program, Kouzes will examine the critical questions all of us as leaders must ask ourselves in order to leave a lasting impact. He will consider thorny and often ambiguous issues with which today’s leaders must grapple issues-such as how leaders serve and sacrifice, why leaders need loving critics, why leaders can't take trust for granted, why it’s not just the leader’s vision, why failure is always an option, why it takes courage to “make a life,” how to liberate the leader in everyone, and ultimately, how the legacy you leave is the life you lead.

The chance of being taken hostage is relatively small. However, anyone can be become a "metaphorical hostage" in a relationship with a boss, employees, colleagues, or customers. Dan Stanek, Executive Vice President of Retail Forward: Dan Stanek will explore the one constant in the retail marketplace - that success is all about profitable growth. But how do you achieve it? There is a need to be more imaginative, yet at the same time, more systematic, in the search for growth opportunities. Other areas that Dan will explore are:
