Sponsored by the West Valley Japanese American Citizens League,
the West Valley Senior Club provides a number of social activities for
Japanese American seniors.
Created in the 1970's the senior club presently provides monthly field
trips, weekly lunches, transportation for shopping and
medical appointments, arts and crafts programs, holiday parties,
limited emergency assistance and annual mochitsuki (traditional rice cake)
making to over 100 members.
Membership to the Senior Club is limited to seniors 70 and older. The
services offered and provided at minimal or no cost.
