B.A. Degree in Chemistry
The B.A. degree is often chosen by students who wish to complete a
second major in the humanities or social sciences, or who have a special
curricular interest outside of chemistry that they wish to pursue.
Requirements
Math 11, 12, 13
Physics 31, 32, 33 or 11, 12, 13
Lower Division Chemistry Core: 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 31, 32, 33
Upper Division Chemistry Core: 111, 141, 151, 152, 154
Chemistry Seminar: 115 (4 quarters)
One additional upper division chemistry elective
At least one unit of Chem 182
B.A. students must show mastery of a foreign language at the third quarter
level (as opposed to second quarter for B.S. students) and must take
a three course sequence in Western Civilization (two courses required
for B.S.)
