GRADUATE PROGRAMS IN PASTORAL MINISTRIES


Application Process

1. Deadline for all application materials:

Fall Quarter August 15
Winter Quarter November 15
Spring Quarter February 15
Summer Session May 25

2. Application form: Fill out form and make copy, submit both forms.

3. Complete music information section only if you are a Liturgical Music major.

4. Transcripts. Two official transcripts of all college level work with degrees granted posted on the transcripts.

5. Application fee of $25 (make check payable to Santa Clara University.)

6. Letter of Recommendation: At least three (3) letters are required, preferably on the Santa Clara University form. Please sign the confidentiality statement.

7. Statement of purpose: Write a short essay covering the following points: 1) your goals, what you envision yourself to be doing with the education you receive from the program; 2) clarify what area of study you wish to pursue, Catechetis, Pastoral Liturgy, Spirituality, or Liturgical Music. Please limit this to one or two typed pages.


Applying as a Pastoral Ministries non-degree student:

1. Application form: Use the same form, please check box for non-degree status.

2. Application fee of $25 (make check payable to Santa Clara University).

3. Please list course(s) for which you are planning to register.

Decisions on applications into the program are made by the Pastoral Ministries Admissions Committee. Notification of decisions on admissions to either degree-seeking or non-degree status will be mailed. Decisions made by the committee are confidential. Acceptance into non-degree status does not imply acceptance into the degree program.
