Application DeadlinesAdmission to the School of Education and Counseling Psychology graduate programs is open to students who hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher learning, have demonstrated superior scholastic aptitude, and have given evidence of good citizenship and moral character. A student who has been disqualified from any college or school of Santa Clara University is ineligible for admission to these programs. Students may apply for degree or nondegree status. Degree status refers to students admitted by letter into a degree, credential, certificate, or pre-license program offered by the School. Nondegree status refers to students admitted by letter, not to one of these programs, but to one or several courses offered by the program; this status is awarded only once. All applicants must have a cumulative 3.0 grade point average (GPA). A score above 1,000 on the GRE (taken within the past five years) may be used to compensate for a low GPA.
