BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERINGDirector: To be appointed Bioengineering is the fastest-growing segment of engineering today and holds the promise of improving the lives of all people in very direct and diverse ways. Bioengineering is the application of electrical, chemical, mechanical, and other engineering principles to understand, modify, or control biological systems. The minor in biomedical engineering is designed for those students who are interested in the field but are majoring in other disciplines, particularly science majors in the College of Arts and Sciences, students completing prerequisites for medical school during their undergraduate studies, and engineering majors. REQUIREMENTS FOR THE MINOR Students must complete the following requirements for a minor in biomedical engineering: Natural Science Courses
