Open Sunday - Thursday from 4:00-9:00 PM
The Drahmann Tutoring Center works in collaboration with the academic departments in which tutoring is available. We utilize faculty to assist with preparing our tutors, and all of our tutors are selected after first being recommended by our faculty. Our goal is to ensure that our tutors are the most qualified and capable of helping you with your specific course materials.
We offer tutoring through a variety of different options.
- For higher demand courses including Math 9, 11, 12, 13, 30, & 31 as well as Chemistry 11, 12, 13, 31, 32, & 33, tutors are available all or most of the hours in which the center is open.
- For other courses in the Arts & Sciences including entry-level courses in Economics, Math, and Modern Languages, tutors are available at various times and days throughout the week in the center.
- For other courses and other schools at SCU including Accounting, Biology, OMIS, and Physics, tutors are available throughout the week in the various departments.
During the academic year, the Drahmann Tutoring Center (DTC) recruits tutors exclusively through recommendations of faculty members. The DTC will contact instructors as tutors are needed throughout the year. In order to be considered for tutoring positions, students must have completed the course they wish to tutor at SCU, and be recommended to the DTC by the instructor of the course. We will coordinate a tutor recruitment period each spring for students interested in tutoring during the upcoming academic year.
