1. Do I have to pay to be a part of the Alumni Association?

The Alumni Association is free and automatic to all undergraduate and graduate SCU alumni. Any individual who has completed one year of undergraduate study at the University qualifies as an alumnus/a, even if he/she did not receive a degree from SCU. Graduate students must receive a degree from SCU in order to attain alumni status.

2. How do I connect with other Broncos in my area?

The Alumni Association connects approximately 84,000 alumni through over 34 regional and ethnic chapters. Our geographic chapters are located in areas with large populations of alumni. While the majority of our chapters are in the state of California, we have vibrant chapters in the Pacific Northwest, the East Coast, Texas, Arizona, New York, Boston, Washington, D.C., and Chicago.

If you are moving to a new area where there is an alumni chapter, feel free to contact the chapter president to introduce yourself and learn about the local chapter activities. Chapter mailing and email lists are generated by zip code, please be sure to update your address with the Alumni Office in order to receive information about events taking place in your area.

If you live in an area where there is not currently a chapter, but are interested in trying to start one, contact the Alumni Office at alumupdate@scu.edu. Unfortunately, in some areas there is not the critical mass needed for a viable chapter. However, the Alumni Office can help determine the possibilities in your particular area.

3. How can I find out what alumni activities are happening in my area?

To find out what alumni activities are going on in your area go to the online alumni events calendar, check the Monthly e-Newsletter, the Bronco Connect, or visit the chapter page for the chapter near you.

4. Can I access contact information for classmates?

The best way to get contact information for classmates is through the Alumni Online Directory at www.scu.edu/alumnidirectory, which requires your Alumni ID to register. To receive your ID, please contact the Alumni Office at 408-554-6800 or alumupdate@scu.edu.

5. Can alumni get married on campus in the Mission Church?

The Mission Church is available for weddings and memorials for SCU students, faculty, staff, and alumni. For more information about Church availability, call 408-554-4023 or visit them online.

6. How do I get information on Mission Santa Clara for a school mission project?

To learn more about the Mission Santa Clara go to www.scu.edu/visitors/mission or call 408-554-4023.

7. How do I obtain my transcript?

The Office of the Registrar recently informed us that effective July 1, 2007, Santa Clara University will no longer charge a fee for official transcripts! For information on how to order your transcript, please go to the Office of the Registrar Web page.
