Do I have to pay for the graduate’s picnic ticket?
Yes, the graduate must be included in the reservation numbers and payment.
Does the Graduation Picnic sell out?
All reservations must be submitted by Friday, June 7. Any reservations received after June 8 may not have seating requests honored.
How are the tables set up for the picnic?
All tables will be under tents on Bellomy Field. Tables hold anywhere from eight to 10 people. All seating will be assigned so please indicate who you would like to sit near/with when you make your reservation. All seating requests must be received by June 7 otherwise seating requests are not granted.
What will be served at the picnic?
Barbecue. This will include pasta salad, fruit salad, chicken, sausages, garden burgers, chips, and ice cream carts. All water, soda, beer, wine, and champagne are included in the ticket price.
I have an older and/or disabled relative that needs special accommodations. How do I go about getting these accommodations?
There are two ways you can let us know:
1) Write your needs on the comments section of the reservation before you send it to the Alumni Office.
2) Call the Alumni Office at 408-554-6800 by June 7.
What is the attire for the Graduation Picnic?
Since the picnic is outdoors and in the summer, we recommend something comfortable for the heat (ex. summer dresses for women). We recommend that women wear flat shoes since the picnic takes place on a field.
What time will the Graduation Picnic gates open?
The gates will open at the conclusion of the Commencement ceremony to respect all graduates and their families.
What time will the food be available at the Graduation Picnic?
The lunch buffet will open up at 11:30 a.m., and will close promptly at 1:30 p.m. so we recommend that you arrive within the first hour of the buffet.
Will there be shuttle service available to and from the Graduation Picnic?
After the Commencement, there will be a designated passenger pick-up area on the first floor of the parking garage near Buck Shaw Stadium.
