Before graduation comes, join your classmates for a series of fun events to help you prepare for life after SCU. Starting the first week of spring quarter, each educational event will feature an alumni speaker to give tips on topics such as BBQing, city living, and networking. The best part is that each event is either free or only $5.

Beer Education - April 2
Life After SCU: Beer Education will feature a tasting of offerings from Lagunitas Brewing Company. Enjoy six samples of seasonal and limited release brews while learning a bit about the brewing process and Lagunitas' history. Light snacks specifically selected to pair with the beer will also be served.
Taxes, 401(k) & Benefits - April 9
Prepare yourself for post-college life with a helpful and informative program focused on doing taxes for the first time, selecting the right retirement plan, and understanding employment benefits.
Career Connect - April 16
Leverage the power of the Bronco network during the 7th Annual Career Connect. Hear SCU Alumni Career Counselor Jill Klees discuss networking tips and tricks followed by the opportunity to practice your networking skills as you mingle with other seniors and about 50 SCU alumni.

Living & Traveling Abroad - April 23
Interested in traveling or living overseas? Life After SCU: Living and Traveling Abroad will feature Mary Ann Peters '72. Mary Ann will share her stories of study abroad and her career traveling throughout Europe, Russia, and Burma.
Theology of Marriage - April 30
Enjoy an engaging discussion with Professor Frederick Parrella during Life After SCU: Theology of Marriage. Discussion will focus on the meanings of marriage, sex and sexuality, the principles of a thriving marriage, and the spirituality of marriage.

Entertain on a Budget - May 7
Learn the dos and dont's of throwing the perfect social gathering during Life After SCU: Entertain on a Budget. The session will feature a sustainable touch to entertaining. Part of the session will feature live demonstrations in beer, bread, and granola making.
BBQ Basics - May 14
Take your backyard BBQ skills to a whole new level at Life After SCU: BBQ Basics. The event will feature a discussion around meat selection, BBQ sauce, fire management, and presentation. Attendees will also enjoy samples of BBQ made on-site!
Wine Education - May 21
Life After SCU: Wine Education will feature a blind wine tasting lead by an alumnus Napa Valley winemaker. Each attendee will also receive a Class of 2014 commemorative wine glass.
