Cannon Christian ’07 writes that he founded a booming business in San Diego called Renovation Realty, a one-stop-shop approach to real estate and renovation that adds value to clients’ homes with zero out-of-pocket costs to the homeowners. As both a full-service residential renovation contractor and real estate brokerage, the company adds monetary value to customer homes by using its own capital to renovate the property before placing it on the market for sale as the listing brokerage. Renovation Realty is reimbursed for its services when it is paid after the sale of the property through escrow. The homeowner never incurs any out of pocket costs in the renovation and sale of the property.

Emiko Burchill J.D. ’07 was appointed by Gov. Jerry Brown ’59 as special assistant for policy at the California Natural Resources Agency. Burchill was a contract attorney at Olson Hagel and Fishburn LLP in 2012. She was an executive fellow at the California Fair Political Practices Commission from 2011 to 2012 and was an intern at the office of Assemblymember Toni Atkins in 2011. Burchill was a volunteer attorney at My Sister's House from 2010 to 2011 and an attorney at the law offices of McDowall Cotter from 2007 to 2009.

EB (Elizabeth) Stanislawski ’08 and Colin Triplett ’08 were married June 23, 2012 at Clos La Chance Winery in San Martin, California. EB currently works for The Commonwealth Club in San Francisco and is presently pursuing her Masters at Santa Clara. Colin started, operated and expanded Mint Condition Fitness in Los Gatos, a boutique holistic fitness club. EB and Colin now reside in their lovely home in Santa Clara.
Marcella Reynolds ’08 writes, "For the last year I have worked at Table Mountain Rancheria as the environmental administrative assistant. I have now been promoted to environmental specialist within the Government Affairs and Environmental Department."
Stuart Poulter '08 and Kristina Chiapella '09 were married June 30, 2012 at David Walley's Hot Springs Resort in Genoa, Nev. Stuart and Kristina celebrated their wedding with fellow SCU alums Ashley Gardner '09, Katelyn (Schlereth) Wood '08, Michael Wood, Michelle Pesce '09, Chad Dupic '09, Elizabeth Storelli '09, Stephen Smoker '09, Bethany Elias Jenner '08, Catherine Waite '08, Elizabeth Czapla '08, Lindsay Mohundro '10, Samantha Go '08, Lauren Roon '08, Kaitlin Thompson '09, Adam Boriotti '08, Deborah Thurtle '08, Krystal Wu '09 and Sam Baker '08.
Stephanie Marquez ’08 writes, "After working in the California Central Valley in the Alumni Relations Office at the University of California, Merced for over four years now where I manage the Student A, I recently accepted a new job opportunity in San Diego, CA. I am so thrilled to relocate and start working in the Alumni Relations Office as the Development and Alumni Relations Coordinator at the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in January 2013. Following my experience working in higher education I realized that working with undergraduate students is my true passion and calling. I am in the process of applying to graduate school for next fall, now that my aspiration is to begin studying Higher Education Leadership at the University of San Diego."
Samir Kaji MBA ’08 joined First Republic Bank in Menlo Park, Calif. Kaji, who has 13 years of banking experience, works with venture capital and private equity clients in Silicon Valley. Prior to joining First Republic, Kaji worked for Silicon Valley Bank.
Moira Groh ’08 graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry in May with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree. She has accepted a dental residency position at Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Andrew Engel '08 writes: "After two incredible years in the Peace Corps in Tanzania (2008-2010) where I taught secondary level biology, I settled in Portland, Ore., and found a job as a pre-school teacher for a year. Though I loved the energy of that age, I have come back to secondary education, currently studying for an MA in Science Teaching at Teachers College, Columbia University and will be teaching in a New York City public high school come September as a Peace Corps Fellow."

Dean Paul Dominguez '08 was awarded an MA in Philosophy from San Jose State University in 2012. He currently works as a Real Estate Broker for Re/Max Active Realty in Fremont, selling residential and commercial real estate. He is also a volunteer coach for the Collegiate Ethics Bowl Team and a volunteer teacher for the Philosophy for Children Program, both affiliated with San Jose State University.

Dr. Sharvari Dixit M.A. ’08 has been appointed as the director of the Global Research of Indian Diaspora at San Jose State University. She is also a teaching faculty at SJSU.
Michelle E. Curtis '04 J.D. '08 and Joseph Harris, Jr. were married on July 28, 2012 in Tiburon, Calif. Bronco attendees included Betsy Conway '04, Jenny DeVoto '03, Leila (Khalil) Lewis '02, Hayley (Fullerton) Servatius '02 and Matt Servatius '02, MBA '11. The couple resides in San Francisco and St. Helena.
Sara Sorto ’08, M.A. ’10 married Dave Carvalho in Los Gatos, Ca on October 7, 2012. They live in Santa Clara where Sara teaches at Santa Clara High.

Emily (Moody) Wilcox ’03, MBA ’09 and husband Lee celebrated the birth of their first child, Abigail, on Aug. 18, 2011. The family lives in San Jose, Calif., where Emily works as the alumni and external relations director for the Leavey School of Business at SCU.
Matt Wendt J.D. ’09, real estate attorney, is running for a seat on the Morgan Hill City Council in this year's election. He wants "to serve the community and build a better and safer city."
Alexandra Pavlidakis J.D. ’09 and Brandon Douglass ’05, J.D. ’10 were married on Oct. 6 at Annunciation Cathedral in San Francisco. The reception was held at the Mark Hopkins InterContinental Hotel in San Francisco and the couple honeymooned in Tahiti.
Cherie Motobu ’09 earned her Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credentials from the state of California in May 2012, which certified her as a school psychologist. She accepted a full-time position on the school psychology staff of the San Mateo-Foster City (Calif.) school district for the 2012–13 school year.
Brian Kozel '09 and Ashley Wells '09 were married at the Santa Clara Mission Church on July 14, 2012. Several SCU alumni were in the wedding party, including Joseph Wattoo '09, Ellis Fenske '09, Lauren Backes '09, Christina Harris '09, Tanner Diggs '09, and Adam Seppala '09; as well as current SCU student and brother of the groom, Kevin Kozel '14. Even more SCU alumni were in attendance as guests of the wedding. The couple honeymooned in France and is enjoying the beginning of their life as newlyweds.
