2006
Scott Dougherty '06 and Marian Dalmy '08 on Feb. 18, 2012, at the Cabo Azul Resort in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico.
Elia DeLuca '02, J.D. '06 has been appointed to Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton's LLP Labor and Employment practice group. The practice focuses on traditional labor and employment issues in a variety of industries, including trucking, airlines transportation, technology, entertainment, environmental, recycling and solid waste services. The firm also specializes in representing clients in union negotiations, organizing campaigns and unfair labor practice proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board.

After graduating with her bachelor's degree, Jen Darling '06, M.A. '08 taught 4th grade in East Side San Jose for a year and realized that teaching was not her true calling. She went on to receive her Teaching Credential and Masters in Education with an emphasis in Correctional Psychology & Alternative Education from Santa Clara University and now works happily back at SCU as a fundraiser.

Amparo Cid '06 worked for a local non-profit after graduating from SCU. Recently, she graduated from UC Davis School of Law and was awarded the Lorenzo Patiiño Memorial Award.
Peter Castle J.D. ’06 joined Peak Vista Community Health Centers as manager of business development and partnerships. Castle is the former programs director for the Colorado Business Group on Health. He has been in the nonprofit field for more than six years and is a graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder, Santa Clara University School of Law, and the Coro Center for Civic Leadership.
Tori (Markey) ’06 and Aaron Cardenas were married on June 23, 2012, at Bava Ranch in Hughson, Calif. The wedding party included SCU alumni Eric Cardenas '92, Jamie Weaver '06, Laurie Sherry '06, Erin Hurley '05, Jessica King Klem '05 and Cadi Imbs Olsen '06. Beau Bedell '04 and Colleen Bedell (Hamlin) '05 welcomed their first child — Annabelle Casey Bedell on July 28, 2010.
Melinda Becker '04, M.A. '06, a classical singer, recently earned her M.F.A. in Vocal Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She performs frequently as a soloist and as a member of Duo Fado in the U.S. and internationally, with guitarist Thomas Walsh. This July, they were featured in a Spanish song festival in Madrid, Spain and will begin a London concert tour in September. Melinda is a member of the music faculty at Marymount College in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif., and lives in San Francisco.

Sharon A. Barrientos '06 and Ali R. Alawi were married on Dec 26, 2006 in San Jose, CA. On May 18, 2007, Ali R. Alawi and Sharon A. Barrientos '06 had a baby girl named Alysha Samarah. She is a blessing!!

Lindsey Bacolini ’06 joined HUB International Limited (HUB), an international insurance brokerage firm, as an account executive in the employee benefits consulting division in Mountain View, Calif. Bacolini will be responsible for servicing HUB’s Northern California middle-market corporate clients. Prior, she served as in a similar capacity for Sequoia Benefits in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Galen Smith ’07 and Jeffrey Young ’07 were wed on Aug. 26, 2011, in Seattle, Wash. The wedding party included maid of honor Claire Smith ’11, bridesmaids Mary Swift ’07 and Gabriela Flowers ’07, and groomsman Michael Pellicio ’07. Other Broncos in attendance included Robert Rose '86, Philip Johnson ’04, Matthew Meyerhofer ’06, Scott Clark ’07, Amy Potter ’07, Christina Vaninetti ’07, and Jonathan Wahl ’07. The couple currently lives in Washington, D.C.
Marc Wilson ’06 and Megan Feldmar ’07 were married on August 14th, 2010 in Huntington Beach, Calif. Alumni in the bridal party were: Christina Vicencia ’07, Brooke Hennon ’07, Medley Jane Crank ’07 and Sean Flaherty ’07. Megan and Marc currently reside in Huntington Beach, CA where Marc is a technical sales consultant and Megan works in internal audit for a retail corporation.
Mark Weinswig MBA '07 was appointed chief financial officer at EMCORE Corporation, a leading provider of compound semiconductor-based components and subsystems for the fiber optic and solar power markets. Weinswig will be responsible for the company's finance and accounting functions. Prior to joining EMCORE, Weinswig held various leadership positions as Controller, Executive VP of Business Development, and Interim CFO with technology companies including Coherent, Inc. and Avanex Corporation (now Oclaro, Inc.). He previously was at Morgan Stanley's Institutional Equity Research Group, where he covered the telecommunications equipment industry, and at PriceWaterhouseCoopers as an auditor. Weinswig received an MBA from Santa Clara and a BS in business administration from Indiana University. He has earned the CFA and CPA designations.
Kelsey Waples '07 is currently finishing up her last year of school at Pepperdine Law and was recently published in the Law Review (Volume 40, Issue 1).

Hilary A. Tone '07 graduated from the University of Southern California with a Master's of Public Diplomacy in May 2009. After relocating to Tucson, Ariz. over the summer, she now works as the communications coordinator for a nonprofit human rights organization called Border Action Network.
