Jocelyn Stauffer ’05 married Stephen McGuire on February 16, 2013 at Mission Santa Clara de Asis with a reception following at The Sainte Claire Hotel. Becky (Bignell) Reuter ’05 and Katie Bignell ’05 were among the members of the wedding party. Bobby Reuter ’05 and Matt Hendricks ’06 provided the ceremony music. The Reverend Paul Fitzgerald, S.J. ’80 witnessed the marriage. Among the guests were Tessa Carter ’05, Tim Gill J.D. ’84, Mike Lysaght ’05, and Aaron Uchikura ’05, M.A. ’11. The couple resides in Nashville, Tenn.

McGovern, Michelle (Stewart)

Michelle Stewart '99, M.A. '05 was married on July 16, 2011 to Ryan McGovern at the Mission. Family and friends, among whom were several alumnae spanning graduations years from 1974 to 2009, celebrated after the ceremony at a reception in Mission Gardens and Adobe Lodge. The couple reside in San Jose, where Michelle is a high school counselor.

Patrick McCarthy ’05, MBA ’13 and Jennifer Oddo ’05 were married on May 24, 2014 at St. Dominic's Church in San Francisco. Patrick works for a real estate developer in San Francisco, and Jennifer is a registered dental hygienist in Marin county. The couple lives in San Francisco. Mike Lysaght '05 earned his Masters in Counseling Psychology from USF in 2007. Since then, he has served in a variety counseling positions around the Bay Area. Currently he is earning the necessary 3,000 hours to become a licensed therapist in California. He and husband Colin recently celebrated five years together, and they live in Campbell, Calif.

Lam, Stephanie

Stephanie Lam ’05, MBA ’11 received top honors for her oil painting African Child III at Salon at the Triton: A 2D Art Competition and Exhibition. This distinction also won her a solo show at the museum in 2016.

“I’m so impressed by the artwork in this show and so humbled to have had two of my pieces accepted,” said Lam. “I can’t wait to share what evolves from this series of African children; I’m already planning a trip to several African countries to further develop the work for the 2016 solo exhibition.”

Ellen Kozarek '05, DDS, is engaged to Troy Follmar, DDS. Ellie, a graduate of the MIHS class of 2001 and Santa Clara University, met Troy, a graduate of Cornell University, at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, where they both graduated in 2009. Ellie is currently a practicing dentist in the Los Angeles area, while Troy completes a residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at USC. A September wedding is planned in California. They plan to make their future home in the South Bay area of San Francisco, where Troy will join his father’s oral surgery practice.

Patrick Grenter ’05 was named executive director of the Center for Coalfield Justice in Washington, Pa. He is leading that organization’s fight to protect citizens from the harmful effects of coal mining and natural gas extraction in southwestern Pennsylvania. Patrick receievd his B.S. in poltical science from SCU and his law degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He lives in Pittsburgh with his wife, Olivia, and dog, Boone.
