Chris Duchesne ’06 married Michelle Donecho ’05, M.A. ’10 on July 12, 2014 at the Mission Santa Clara de Asis with a reception following at the Adobe Lodge. The wedding party included Matt Duchesne ’05 and Trey Miller ’13. The couple honeymooned in Maui and resides in Menlo Park.
Aloe Driscoll '05 was hired as a marketing coordinator at Awe Sum in Santa Cruz. Prior she worked in the sales and marketing department for Nanosolar in San Jose. This is her first job in the produce industry.
Courtney (Dimpel) Shipman ’05 is one of the newest members of the women’s racing team Vanderkitten-Focus. This famous international bicycle racing team showed up at Aptos High School in March with women from New Zealand, Australia, the East Coast, and the Bay Area. They have 25 members of the team representing them worldwide. The Vanderkitten-Focus claim to fame is not only their stamina and racing skills, but their popular line of sportswear. Cycling is one of several successful sports programs at Aptos High available to the students. This women’s pro racing team demonstrated to students that bike racing is not just for boys.
Briana Di Bari '05 married Neil Schachter on Oct. 13, 2013 at Kohl Mansion in Burlingame, Calif. In attendance were (L to R) Andy Bloom '05, Alison (Wright) Behrens '05, Sabrina (Sanchez) Puelles '05, Sally Showman '05, Rachael Fairbairn '05, Christopher Nguyen '07, Paul Di Bari '03, MBA '11, Nicholas Di Bari '00, and John Kollus '01 (not pictured). The couple met in law school in Washington, DC and currently resides in New York City.
Konstantine Demiris J.D. '05 and Christopher Moore J.D. '06 recently formed Demiris & Moore. They specialize in conservatorship and guardianship matters, estate planning, trust and probate litigation, elder abuse, and appeals. Both partners are also court appointed as counsel in conservatorships by the State of California, Superior Court of Contra Costa County. The firm is located in the heart of downtown Walnut Creek, Calif., and handles cases throughout the Bay Area and California.
Chris ’05 and Megan (Koppes) DeMartini ’05 welcomed future Bronco, Abigail Maryann, on Oct. 11, 2011.

Carey DeAngelis ’05, MBA ’12 and Ben Fredlake were married on November 16, 2013 in Scottsdale, Ariz. The couple resides in Phoenix, Ariz.
Leslie Davidson ’05 writes, "We're leaving the beautiful Bay Area and moving to Boise, Ida.—also beautiful in different ways. I plan to start a private practice there and may run some groups at the VA Hospital. I was fortunate to gain such a solid foundation for my new career as an MFT from SCU's Counseling Psych program. Thanks to all who made that possible."
Kelly Cowan J.D. ’05 joined Denver-based defense firm Grund-Dagner P.C. as an associate attorney.
Cowan’s principal areas of practice at Grund-Dagner are professional liability, recreational law, transportation law, and construction litigation. Prior, Cowan worked with Sinunu Bruni, LLP, in San Francisco, where she focused on product liability/toxic tort and personal-injury defense, and at Ray Bourhis & Associates, also in San Francisco, where she concentrated on insurance-coverage work.
Daniel Corrigan '05 and Brittany Palumbo '09 were married on Sept. 13, 2014, at San Carlos Cathedral in Monterey, Calif. Alums in their wedding party included: Eric Kochanski '05, Stephan Vernaelde '05, Francisco Zepponi '05, Jack (John) Corrigan '10, Irine Tyutereva '10, and Eileen Corrigan '02. The parents of the groom are Marian Donovan Corrigan '76 and Dan Corrigan ’74.
Kevin Collins J.D. ’05, after five years of prosecuting drunk-in-public and DUI jury trials in San Mateo County, has been assigned to the General Felony trial team, where he specializes in small amounts of narcotics and is assigned to the Minor Vendor Unit.
Kristin (Simms) Byrnes '01, M.Div. '05 and her husband Billy have accepted volunteer positions for two years with Volunteer Missionary Movement. They leave the beginning of September for Waslala, Nicaragua. They will serve as English teachers at Instituto Agropecuario de Waslala, which is a teaching farm and certified secondary school that offers educational opportunities focused on diversified and sustainable farming practices specifically designed for the Waslala region of Nicaragua. Billy and Kristin will also participate in some of the various ministries the local parish provides.
Kristin (Simms) Byrnes ’01, M.Div. ’05 is happy to be back in the Bay Area and teaching at Archbishop Mitty High School, after serving for two years with Volunteer Missionary Movement in San Nicolás, Nicaragua. She and her husband, Billy, welcomed their first child, William James Byrnes on October 17, 2013. He has since blessed their lives with so much joy and love that they overlook the sleepless nights. They hope to return to Nicaragua soon for a visit, to introduce their son to the many friends they left behind.
Elizabeth Budd ’05 is in her second year of the doctoral program at the Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis. She studies nutrition and physical activity among youth and adolescents.
Carlie Brown ’05 and Lance Ogren exchanged marriage vows Oct. 12 at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in New York. A reception was held at Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers on the banks of the Hudson River.
She is the daughter of Shelly and Steve Brown of Orland. He is the son of Dorothy Ogren of Manchester, N.J. They met while coaching swimming at Chelsea Piers Athletic Club. She graduated from Santa Clara University in Santa Clara and is a freelance event and promotion coordinator.
He graduated from St. John's University in New York and works as a personal trainer and swim coach. He has swum the English Channel and holds the world record for the 17.5-mile Ederle Open Water Swim.
They honeymooned at Kruger National Park and Durban, South Africa and live in Manhattan.
Jessica Frank ’05 and Peter Brown were married on Aug. 9, 2014 at the Vine Hill House at O'Connell Vineyards in Sebastopol, Calif. Kristin Belanger ’05 and Katy Tuttle ’05 served as maid & matron of honor. Several other Broncos were in attendance, along with guests from Australia and Germany. The happy couple currently resides in San Francisco, Calif.
Gina M. Biegel M.A. '05 has just written her first book, The Stress Reduction Workbook for Teens: Mindfulness Skills to Help You Deal with Stress and her audio CD, Mindfulness for Teens: Meditation Practices to Reduce Stress and Promote Well-Being are currently available through Amazon.com. She is currently working locally as a psychotherapist.
Keely Nelson ’05 and Christopher Berg were wed on June 26, 2010, in Soquel, Calif. The wedding party included maid of honor Shuryn Barnes (Riggins) ’05; bridesmaids Kelly Sjolund (Burns) ’05 and Kristi Anderson ’06; and reader Chanel McCreedy ’04. Other Broncos in attendance included Jessy Wray ’05 and Emmalisa Sparrow ’05. The couple recently purchased their first home in San Jose and are expecting their first child this summer.
Keely Elizabeth Berg (Nelson) '05, M.A. '06 and husband Chris welcomed their daughter Annabelle Rylie Berg into the world on July 3, 2012. The family lives in San Jose, Calif., where they have purchased their first home.

Rev. Robert Ballecer M.Div. ’05, who is known as the Digital Jesuit because of his knowledge of technology and his high profile online and on social media networks, was profiled in the San Jose Mercury News on Nov. 30.
Recently Ballecer was named director of the Center for Apostolic Technology, and for the last three years, he has served in Washington, D.C., as the director of national vocation promotion, overseeing the Jesuits' efforts to encourage young men to consider the priesthood.
