Linus Lau ’00 has been Chair for the Music Video, Film and Television Program at Musicians Institute since December of 2012, in addition to adjunct lecturer of Film Studies at Long Beach City College. He is also the composer of the upcoming feature "Bread and Butter," starring Bobby Moynihan of Saturday Night Live.
Christina Beck Drogin ’00 and Jason Drogin ’00 welcomed daughter Mia Edie Drogin on August 29, 2012. Mia joins big brothers Will (6) and Jake (4).
Gina Policastri ’00, J.D. ’03 is a partner at Lonich & Patton, LLP in San Jose. She is certified by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization as a Family Law Specialist. She and her husband welcomed a baby girl, Bianca, in 2011. The family lives in Willow Glen.
Anna Weyher ’01 is the principal investigator and founder of the Kasanka Baboon Project, formed in 2010 for the study of a group of Kinda baboons (Papio cynocephalus kindae) in Kasanka National Park, Zambia.
Stephen Tonna ’01 and Margery (Blain) Tonna ’02 welcomed their second son, Christopher, on July 6, 2013. Big brother Joshua (3) is already educating Chris all about planes, trains, and tractors. Steve and Margi both work at Apple and the family lives in San Jose, Calif.
Jacey Prupas ’01, J.D. ’04, an associate in the Reno office of Snell & Wilmer, has been appointed to the Nevada Board of Bar Examiners. Her three-year term began in April. She previously served as a Nevada Bar Exam Grader from 2006 to 2008.
Prupas focuses her practice in general commercial litigation. She has experience with all stages of litigation, including pretrial discovery, trial, appellate work and alternative dispute resolution. Prupas’ practice includes representing businesses in all types of contract disputes, complex tort actions and product liability matters. She also has extensive experience with personal injury actions, both for plaintiffs and defendants.
Prupas received both her undergraduate and law degrees from Santa Clara University. Also licensed in California, she is a member of the American Bar Association and the Northern Nevada Women’s Lawyer’s Association, for which she served as a board member from 2005 to 2011. She has been recognized for several years as a Nevada Super Lawyers Rising Star.
Brendan O’Brien ’01 and Lauren (Russell) O’Brien ’02 welcomed their second boy Declan Charles on April 5, 2013. The family, with their oldest son Liam and dog Burger, currently live in Burlingame, Calif.
Angel Diaz ’99 and Alma Diaz Parra ’01 welcomed their first child, Eduardo Angel, on September 7, 2011. The family resides in Los Angeles.
Lisa Dazols ’01 and Jennifer Chang at San Francisco City Hall. In attendance were Cheryl Dumesnil (former SCU faculty), Sarah (Canepa) Pastran ’01, Armando Pastran ’01, Kelly (Linder) Ernst ’01, Jonathan Ernst ’01, Michele (Eggers) Lago ’01, Aimmon Lago ’01, Joseph Albers ’02, and Karen (Dazols) Albers ’01. The newlyweds also have a film coming out in the spring called Out and Around: Stories of a Not-So-Straight Journey (www.OutandAround.com).
Carrie (Fuller) Asprinio ’01 and husband Jim Asprinio welcomed their second son, Kyler Max, on March 5, 2013. He joins brother Braylen, 2. Proud Grandpa and SCU alumnus Jerry Fuller ’74 couldn’t be happier. The family lives in Seattle, Wash.
On completing three terms as Program Director at Don Bosco Renewal Centre in Bangalore, Joseph Thannickal M.A. ’02 has been granted a sabbatical year at Fordham University and JST Berkeley to complete some writing work. Following his sabbitcal, Joseph will return to India to take up another interesting assignment. Currently he is enjoying the warm humidity of NY.
Amanda Murray J.D. ’02 and Matthew Nowakowski, both of Redwood City, were wed on Sept. 21, 2013, at Murrietta’s Well Winery in Livermore.
Sean Mendelson ’02, a.k.a. Teacher Sean, just finished producing his first children’s music album, Crank Out the Music. The music is vibrant and fresh with an engaging alternative vibe, a nod to Mendelson’s history of playing in rock bands.
Mendelson, a Santa Clara University graduate, composed 12 songs in just three days.
Sheri Lara ’99 and Ronald Lalangan were married at Mission Santa Clara on August 17. The happy couple were surrounded by their family and friends, including fellow Bronco Susan Lalangan Vaughan who served as a bridesmaid.
Christine Donovan J.D. ’02, a senior staff attorney for the Solano County Superior Court, has been appointed the Judicial Council's Family and Juvenile Law Advisory Committee. Donovan, who has worked for Solano County Superior Court since 2007, is a Certified Family Law Specialist through the State Bar of California, Board of Legal Specialization and has served as a faculty member for the Center for Judiciary Education and Research at the Administrative Office of the Courts.
Elia DeLuca ’02, J.D. ’06 was named a Rising Star in the Northern California Super Lawyers 2013 edition, which recognizes the top up-and-coming attorneys in the state. DeLuca practices labor and employment law in the San Francisco office of Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton.
Carly A. Dadson ’02 is special counsel at Dannis Woliver Kelley in Long Beach. She advises and counsels public school district clients on a wide range of personnel-related matters.
Maya Vestal Apolinario ’02 and Paulo Apolinario ’02 welcomed daughter Sara Alexandra on October 12, 2012. Her proud big brother, Marco Cruz, is three years old, and the family lives in San Jose.
Roselyn "Rosie" Siino ’03 married Steven on Sept. 18, 2010. The ceremony was held at St. Ignatius Church, San Francisco, with reception at the Palace Hotel, San Francisco. In attendance were bridesmaids Ashley Weger ’03; Renee (Morrell) Meadowcroft ’03, MBA ’12; Gaelen O'Connell ’02; Jennifer (Getz) Olmstead ’03; and dear guests Michelle (Lower) Rayburn ’03 and Lisa (DiSanti) Leopard ’03. Rosie has been working in wealth management for the last ten years. In 2012 she obtained her Master of Science degree in Financial Planning from Golden Gate University and is a Certified Financial PlannerTM Professional. She currently works for Wells Fargo Private Bank in San Francisco where she and her husband reside.
Roselyn Siino ’03 recently accepted a position as Financial Planner at Mosaic Financial Partners in San Francisco. Mosaic Financial Partners is an independent investment advisory firm that provides both financial planning and investment management services to individuals and families.

Sharon Shelton ’03 wed David Feigelson on November 9, 2013 on a yacht in Newport Beach, Calif. Sharon and David met at Santa Clara while David was visiting his groomsmen Matt Krueger ’03. Other Broncos in the wedding party:Merrin Thompson 02', Chrissy Towle (Hirsch) 03' and Cindy Hirsch ’03. Other Broncos in attendance were Amy Hoefer (Grabill) ’03, Ynez Carrasco ’02, Jamie Jameson (Swintek) ’02, Miranda McAnany ’02, Kasey De La Cruz (Shemwell) ’02, Christina Vick ’04, Jessie Mechem ’04, and Kim Gaube (Helton) ’03. Sharon and David reside in Redwood City, CA where Sharon works as a VP for Comerica in San Jose, providing financing for start-up/pre-profit companies. David works for Genentech as a Global Project Manager.
