Thai-Huy "Peter" Nguyen ’05, upon graduating from the University of Pennsylvania with a Ph.D. in education in May, will be joining the faculty of Seattle University's College of Education as an assistant professor of Student Development Administration in fall 2015. He and his partner will be moving to Seattle this summer.
Stephanie Lam ’05, MBA ’11 received top honors for her oil painting African Child III at Salon at the Triton: A 2D Art Competition and Exhibition. This distinction also won her a solo show at the museum in 2016.
Guadalupe Escobar ’05 was awarded a Mary S. Taylor–Ruth N. Frey Scholarship by the Santa Clara Woman's Club. Escobar, who is currently enrolled in DeAnza College’s nursing program. “Both these young women were truly outstanding, with positive attitudes, a clear idea of their career path, good grades and both work part-time,” said Woman’s Club Past President Nancy Jo Banko.
Chris Duchesne ’06 married Michelle Donecho ’05, M.A. ’10 on July 12, 2014 at the Mission Santa Clara de Asis with a reception following at the Adobe Lodge. The wedding party included Matt Duchesne ’05 and Trey Miller ’13. The couple honeymooned in Maui and resides in Menlo Park.
Daniel Corrigan '05 and Brittany Palumbo '09 were married on Sept. 13, 2014, at San Carlos Cathedral in Monterey, Calif. Alums in their wedding party included: Eric Kochanski '05, Stephan Vernaelde '05, Francisco Zepponi '05, Jack (John) Corrigan '10, Irine Tyutereva '10, and Eileen Corrigan '02. The parents of the groom are Marian Donovan Corrigan '76 and Dan Corrigan ’74.
