Message from the President

Hurricane Sandy

To all our alumni who are suffering from the ravages of Hurricane Sandy, our prayers go out to you and your families. The impact of the storm has been unimaginable in the devastation it left behind – the destruction of homes, the loss of power and infrastructure, the displacement of multitudes of people, and the death of loved ones. Though physical distance may separate us, the Santa Clara University community remains with you in our hearts.

For those who would like to assist victims of Hurricane Sandy, Catholic Charities is accepting donations at www.catholiccharitiesusa.org to support their efforts and help restore desperately needed hope to the victims.

Our national tradition of celebrating Thanksgiving offers us the opportunity to recall the blessings in our lives and give thanks for the people who sustain us and give us strength. I am grateful for all you do to make Santa Clara the special place it is. I shall remember you and your families with gratitude in my Mass and prayers on Thanksgiving Day. Have a blessed and happy Thanksgiving.

Sincerely,

Michael E. Engh, S.J.
President
