Alumni Awards

Each year the Alumni Association honors its alumni in recognition of service to community and the University:

Athletic Hall of Fame Award

The SCU Alumni Association recognizes alumni of noteworthy athletic achievement whose activities since Santa Clara which are consistent with purpose and values of the University.

Ignatian Award

The SCU Alumni Association recognizes two to five alumni each year for their service to the community. Find out more about past recipients and how to nominate others.

Louis I. Bannan Award 

The SCU Alumni Association recognizes an alumnus/a couple each year for their services to the Alumni Association and Santa Clara University.

Other Awards

Gianera Society

The Gianera Society recognizes Santa Clara alumni whose class has graduated fifty or more years ago. The Society bears the name of Father Gianera as a tribute to the way he upheld the Santa Clara ideals.

Brutocao Award for Teaching Excellence

The Louis and Dorina Brutocao Award for Teaching Excellence was established by the family to honor special Santa Clara teachers. Alumni are encouraged to nominate former professors. More about the award and the nominating criteria are available at the Provost's Web site.
