New Student RecruitmentThe Alumni New Student Recruitment (NSRT) Program, which began in 1972, offers a great opportunity for the alumni of Santa Clara University to individually congratulate and welcome the newly accepted students. Alumni participants are asked to contact 10 to 15 prospective students who generally reside in the volunteer’s geographic area and/or academic discipline. With the exception of a three-year hiatus in the program from 2000-2002, the New Student Recruitment Program has been a mainstay of the Alumni Association’s student services programs. While the program is run directly from the Alumni Office, the Santa Clara Admissions Office offers much support, providing names of the accepted students, as well as pertinent and current information about Santa Clara to assist our alumni volunteers in contacting students.
