Fall Reunions are Just around the Corner
October 16-19, 2008

The countdown has begun for the Alumni Association's Fall Reunion.  There are less than two weeks until the classes of 1963, 1968, 1973, & 1978 return to campus for a weekend of festivities.  Set for October 16-19, 2008, the weekend will include events such as a Golf Tournament on Friday, and Academic Showcases, Wine Tasting Lunch, and Class Dinners on Saturday.

Is your class not celebrating a reunion? No problem, there are still opportunities for you to reconnect with the Santa Clara:

  • Step back into the classroom (without quizzes or tuition) for an Academic Showcase. Topics include The New Boomer Market Place, and Solar Decathlon House
  • Join us at the Saturday Wine Tasting Lunch where Fr. Locatelli will give his final University update and incoming University President Fr. Engh will be in attendance.

For more event information and to R.S.V.P. visit us online.

Michael Engh, S.J., distinguished historian and current Dean of the Ballarmine College of Liberal Arts at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, has been selected as the 28th president of Santa Clara University. Fr. Engh will succeed Paul Locatelli, S.J., who announced in March that he would step down after nearly 20 years as president. Student Interview with Randy Winn '96

The Santa Clara, SCU’s student newspaper, strives to tell the story about life on campus and to connect students with each other, the University, and alumni.  Cecila Nguyen ’09, sports editor for The Santa Clara, had an opportunity to sit down with one of our alumni, Randy Winn ’96, for an one-on-one interview.  Randy opens up about his experience as an SCU student, thoughts on being a Bay Area athlete, and his fellow classmate, Steve Nash ’96.
