Way to Go, Broncos!

On April 23, SCU hosted its first one-day giving challenge. An impressive 2,883 people donated to Santa Clara during the 24-hour period, surpassing the goal of 1,001 donors. Including two $100,000 challenge gifts, the University raised about $720,000 - a record-breaking total. Thanks for helping make history! More information »

Santa Clara Women Named Top Influencers

More than a half-dozen SCU leaders were honored as Women of Influence by the Silicon Valley Business Journal. The list includes: Dean Lisa Kloppenberg (Law); Professor Beth Van Schaack (Law); Francine Gordon (Management); Pamela Roussos (CSTS); Bonita Banducci (Engineering); Aileen Casanave (SCU Law's Center for Social Justice and Public Service); and Victoria Collom MBA ’88 (Leavey California Program for Entrepreneurship).

 

How a Tragedy Became a Second Chance

Amanda North was only 15 feet away from the explosion at the Boston Marathon last year. While her wounds have healed, her life will never be the same. After quitting her tech job, Amanda launched Artisan Connect with backing from SCU's Center for Science, Technology, and Society. The startup combines her passion for travel and crafts with her interest in social change. Amanda also volunteers as a mentor to social entrepreneurs at SCU. Read more »

SCU's undergraduate degree recipients rank in the top 3 percent for return on investment (ROI), coming in at No. 27 out of 1,330 colleges and universities. Santa Clara graduates reported a starting salary of $53,300 and a mid-career salary of $110,000. Read more »

New Women's Basketball Coach

Santa Clara hired former Broncos assistant coach JR Payne to lead our Women’s Basketball program. JR had been head coach at Southern Utah, where her team just had the best year in the history of the program, winning 23 games and earning their first post-season bid. Read more »
