Joan Harrington

Academic Development Specialist

Joan Harrington joined the faculty of the Academic and Professional Development Department at Santa Clara University School of Law in 2007.  She teaches Advanced Legal Writing: Analysis and oversees the program of Directed Study.

Ms. Harrington served as a law clerk for the Honorable Robert C. Zampano at the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut and taught legal writing at Stanford Law School before a career in non-profit and private practice encompassing trial, appellate and general counsel positions.

Ms. Harrington obtained her J.D. from University of Pennsylvania Law School, where she received Order of the Coif, and her B.A. from Stanford University.

Sandra "Sandee" Magliozzi

Director of Law Externship Programs

Sandee Magliozzi is a California attorney and former Drinan Fellow in the Economic Crimes Division of the United States Attorney's Office.  A graduate of Northeastern University and Suffolk University School of Law, she has focused her career on understanding the skills law students and new attorneys need to bridge the gap from law school to practice. She has worked at Holland & Knight as a senior program manager of firm-wide attorney training and development.  She has also worked as the firm-wide professional development manager for Heller Ehrman, where she was a member of that firm’s recruitment, retention, development and diversity committee.  She served as the director of law studies at Saint Mary's College of California and as an adjunct professor at Hastings College of the Law. She has also worked for West Group consulting with Bay Area law schools in the areas of online legal research, virtual classrooms and electronic publishing.
