Santa Clara University

90 Years of the Leavey School of Business

The 2013-2014 academic year we celebrated 90 years of LSB. Officially beginning in 1923, Santa Clara University’s business school started serving students as the College of Commerce and Finance, until it became the College of Business Administration in 1926, and finally the School of Business and Administration in 1962.

Our Mission as a community is dedicated to innovative learning and scholarship that transforms people, ideas, and organizations to create prosperity here and around the world. We blend theory and practice, find inspiration in Silicon Valley's entrepreneurial spirit, and are committed to a collaborative learning environment that develops leaders of competence, conscience, and compassion.

Throughout Spring Quarter, we released weekly pieces on the 9 Decades of LSB; each focusing on the state of business and the world during the decade, and how the Leavey School of Business fit into it all.
