Paula Thielen
Lecturer
Paula Thielen currently operates her own accounting firm in Silicon Valley, Thielen & Associates. As a Certified Public Accountant, she has over 25 years of experience in the accounting profession, both in private industry and in public practice. Past positions have included Vice President of Finance of a consulting firm and CFO of an industrial equipment manufacturer and distributor.
Besides being a Lecturer at Santa Clara University, Dr. Thielen teaches Managerial Accounting and Managerial Finance at Presidio School of Management in San Francisco in the MBA Program in Sustainable Management, where she is also the CFO.
Her educational background includes a Ph.D. in Human and Organizational Systems from Fielding Graduate University, where her research centered on good corporate citizenship. She has an MBA in Finance from Santa Clara University where she was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, and an MS in Organizational Behavior and Development from Golden Gate University.
