Roy Wells

 
Roy Wells has over 30 years experience in technical marketing, market development, product marketing, market intelligence and marketing communications for the computer and data networking industry.

A native of California, Roy grew up in the Silicon Valley, from his childhood in Cupertino though college and graduate school.  He holds a Bachelor's degree in Decision Science he received while on a ROTC scholarship and served as a Commissioned officer in the United States Air Force and spent two years in private industry before returning to Santa Clara University to earn his MBA from the Leavey School of Business.

Over the course of his career, Roy has worked at several leading companies such as SRI International (Stanford Research Institute), Bay Networks (now a part of Nortel Networks), Motorola, Vitalink and NET as well as the United Nations in New York. In the course of his career, Roy has done business and delivered seminars in over 30 countries in North America, Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia/New Zealand and the Middle East.  

A prolific writer, Roy is the published author of several works, both personally on military and historic topics and professionally, where he has written article and papers as well as delivering presentations on topics ranging from real-time software development environments to data network architecture at conferences including Buscon, ComNet and NetWorld+Interop for audiences ranging up to 7,500 attendees.

Currently, Roy provides outsourced Marketing and Market Consulting services through his own company, Internetwork Technology Consulting (www.internetworktechnology.net).  He is a member of both the Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals and the American Marketing Association.

As part of his interest in US History, Roy also visits some 15 middle schools in the San Francisco Bay area, giving presentations on the life of a soldier in the American Revolution and American Civil War through the History Well (www.HistoryWell.com), which he founded to help provide a resource to those interested in these turning points in our nation’s heritage.
