I am delighted to present the first edition of Blueprints, our quarterly newsletter about the most exciting Business School project since its founding in 1923: the construction of a new, state‑of‑business facility for the premier business program for Silicon Valley.

We’re sending this first issue to all Business School alumni and friends to let you know about our progress, as well as recognize our many partners in this project to‑date. These are people who recognize the significant contribution that SCU’s Business School has made to the vitality of our region, and have made an investment in the continued strength of our area by making a gift to the “Building for the Future” campaign.

We’ll be sending out e‑mail updates in the intervening months to subscribers to our Blueprints electronic version, as well. Future print issues of Blueprints will be sent to Business School building donors and friends exclusively.

If you haven’t yet become an investor, I invite you to do so now. Call me (408-554-4523) or send me an e-mail. It’s an investment in your future as a friend or graduate of the School of Business.

Barry Z. Posner, Dean and Professor of Leadership

$15 Million Investment in Building

Photo of SCU School of Business benefactor, Donald LucasPioneering venture capitalist Don Lucas has continued his pattern of backing important projects in Silicon Valley with his pledge of $15 million to the construction of a new home for Santa Clara University's Business School.

In announcing the gift, SCU President Paul Locatelli, S.J., praised Lucas for his vision, and called the gift "transformational," and a cornerstone for the University's new business school building.

"Don Lucas continues to put his faith and funding in new ideas and new ventures," Locatelli said in announcing the gift. "With Don's help, we can accelerate fundraising for the new business school building," Locatelli said.
