John Hammond, CEP
John Hammond is the CEO of bendystraw llc, a technology and service company, focused on HR data movement solutions and equity compensation gap products. John has been a source for creative ideas and big-picture thinking for much of his career serving in strategy, management, sales, consulting, product, and relationship roles during his industry tenure and frequently had marketing and industry relations responsibilities. John has always been on the vendor side of the industry, originally beginning with Great Lakes Strategies in 1999, then several other vendors until forming bendystraw in 2014. Prior to joining the industry, John was a financial planner and advisor for 10 years.
John earned his CEP designation in 2000 and has served on the Advisory Board since 2010, including holding the role as Chair from 2013 –2014. John also served on the CEP Curriculum Committee from 2002 –2004 and 2007 –2009 and also volunteered for other CEP activities over the years, including standard setting and item-writing. In addition to his CEPI activities, John has been a long-time member of NASPP and currently serves on the board of the Philadelphia Chapter and as a member of the NASPP Executive Advisory Committee. He is a former President of both the Philadelphia and Carolinas NASPP Chapters and has attended 16 NASPP National Conferences. John is also a member of the Global Equity Organization and has been a member since its inaugural year in 2000. John has been a speaker at a variety of stock plan meetings and conferences on a wide range of issues surrounding equity compensation, administration and reporting requirements.
John received his B.A. from The University of Michigan.
