Emily W. Van Hoorickx, CEP, CFP, UBS Financial Services
Emily W. Van Hoorickx is a Senior Vice President–Investments in the San Jose office of UBS, where she has focused on equity compensation programs and financial planning for over two decades. She leads a team of Financial Advisors focusing on helping individuals develop and maintain a comprehensive wealth management plan that considers strategies for managing wealth that has been earned through equity compensation programs.
As a Financial Advisor, Certified Financial Planner (CFP), and Certified Equity Professional (CEP), she has the broad background needed to work with the interrelated disciplines of company plan benefits and personal financial planning. She is listed in the Guide to America’s Best Financial Planners by The Consumer’s Research Council. Emily is also honored as one of the Top Ten Wealth Managers in Silicon Valley by The San Jose Business Journal. She holds licenses for multiple financial instruments, including securities registrations in all 50 states.
In addition to her financial background, her education includes a degree from the University of California at Berkeley and studies at Oxford, U.K. and Turnhout, Belgium. She is a founding member of the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals, and has served as President of the Silicon Valley Chapter of NASPP, and as Chair of Santa Clara University’s Certified Equity Professionals Institute (CEPI) in 2001-2002 and 2004-2005. Emily was the first registered broker to obtain the CEP designation, as well as the first CEP to become Chair of the CEPI Advisory Board.
