Tahir Naim, Attorney, Law Office of Tahir J Naim



Mr. Naim's practice focuses on executive employment agreements, stock plans and ERISA issues as they arise in mergers, hirings, benefits administration and the general course of business. Mr. Naim was a drafter of the State Bar of California's Conference of Delegates' proposal to amend Cal. Corp. Code Sec. 25102(o) to ease stock plan administration. On behalf of the State Bar, Mr. Naim traveled to Sacramento and testified before Assembly and Senate committees in favor of the bill's passage. The bill passed without opposition and became law January 1, 2002.

Mr. Naim is a two-term president of the South Asian Bar Association of Northern California and has served on its board of directors since 1997. Mr. Naim was also one of several organizers/sponsors of the 2003 Conference of the Indo-American Leadership Initiative. Mr. Naim also volunteers his time with a legal clinic sponsored by the Pro Bono Project of Silicon Valley and in 2004 chaired the Minority Access Committee of the Santa Clara County Bar Association.

He is a member of the Santa Clara County Bar Association, the South Asian Bar Association of Northern California, the Asian Pacific Bar Association of Silicon Valley and the Asian American Bar Association of Greater Bay Area. He is also a member of the Certification Council for the Certified Equity Professional Institute at Santa Clara University.

In law school Mr. Naim was a law clerk in the Environmental Enforcement Section of the U.S. Dept. of Justice.
