Vanessa Renna, CEP
Senior Manager, Global Stock Plans, Amgen


 

Vanessa Renna has over 13 years of stock plan experience with private and public corporations.  In her role at Amgen, she manages global equity plan administration in over 45 countries including options, restricted stock, restricted stock units, performance units and ESPP. Her experience includes  mergers and acquisitions, global mobility taxation and large scale vendor and product implementations.  Prior to joining Amgen, Vanessa was AVP, Equity Benefits for Countrywide Financial Corporation where she managed administration and design of global equity plans, Section 16 reporting and employee training.  Vanessa received her Certified Equity Professional (CEP) designation from the CEP Institute in 2003 and maintains the designation through continuing education.  She has been actively involved in the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals (NASPP) for over 10 years serving on the board of the San Fernando Valley NASPP chapter for 7 years, and speaking at the national NASPP conference.  Vanessa currently serves as an Advisory Board member for the CEP Institute at Santa Clara University.

Prior to becoming involved with equity plans, Vanessa worked in Human Resources for 12 years in the utility and financial industries.  Vanessa graduated from the University of California at Irvine with a bachelor's degree in psychology and holds a certificate in HR Management in addition to the CEP.  She is currently pursuing an accounting degree at California Lutheran University.
