Now Accepting Applications for CAPE 2012 Cohort-Application Deadline Extended to June 1!
On behalf of the Leavey School of Business and the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Santa Clara University, we are pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for the 2012 Cohort of the California Program for Entrepreneurship (CAPE). CAPE is a 6-month initiative for early-stage entrepreneurs in California who seek a dynamic and rigorous program in which to learn the fundamentals of starting and building a business. By providing business education and mentoring, it is the CAPE mission to help entrepreneurs develop and implement business plans to launch startups that will contribute to the growth and well-being of the California economy. Candidates will be selected based on their personal backgrounds and experiences, the stage of development and likelihood for success of the business idea, and the potential contribution to the California economy. All candidates must complete an online application-this process includes multiple exercises designed to refine the candidate's business idea and assess the potential for a successful launch. California Program for Entrepreneurship Phase I: Pre-Workshop Preparation Phase II: One-Week Intensive Workshop Phase III: Post-Workshop Mentoring & Pitch Preparation Program funding has been secured to cover the costs of classes, workshops, seminars, books/class materials/case study licenses, as well as lunch and coffee breaks for on-campus sessions. There is an educational/administrative fee as follows: Individual Participant: $5,000 Applications accepted now through May 1, with the program set to begin with virtual exercises in June.
