On a quarterly basis, the CIE brings in Silicon Valley experts to meet with our students and alumni in 20-minute, one-on-one sessions.  Students also meet with the CIE Executive Director Dan Aguiar on an ad-hoc basis year round for startup review and assistance.

Bronco Abram Dawsonof SV Angel will be back to campus for our Spring Office Hours for Entrepreneurs:  Abram will take appointments to review your business plan or presentation, critique your pitch and answer your questions in 25-minute one-on-one sessions in the Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship on Thursday, April 23--appointments are required.

To schedule your appointment, please send your 3 available meeting time preferences and a brief background (1-2 sentences or one paragraph) background piece on what you'd like to discuss/about your venture to Linda Jenkins at ljenkins@scu.edu before Thursday, April 9.  Appointments will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.  CIE Office Hours for Entrepreneurs is a quarterly event designed to help keep your ideas and your venture moving forward, we hope you enjoy them!

About Abram Dawson& SV Angel Abram Dawson is an Associate at SV Angel.  Abram joined SV Angel in 2012 after graduating from Santa Clara University with a B.S. in Economics. While an undergrad, he designed and developed a number of mobile apps, tutored economics, and worked closely with the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.   

 

SV Angel is a San Francisco-based angel firm that helps startups with business development, financing, M&A and other strategic advice.

The CIE is pleased to present Office Hours for Entrepreneurs with Silicon Valley angel investors Andrea Zurek and PietroDovaof XG Ventures will review your business plan or presentation, critique your pitch and answer your questions in 25-minute one-on-one sessions in the Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship on Wednesday, February 25--appointments are required.  If your venture or project is in the consumer internet sector (especially mobile, gaming, data or analytics), this is the opportunity for you!  Andrea andPietroare ex-Googlers (the "xg" in XG Ventures) who now focus on consumer internet including the mobile, video, gaming, social media and online media sectors.

About Andrea Zurek andPietroDova:

Andrea Zurek

zurekMs. Andrea Zurek has been an active angel investor since 2006. Ms. Zurek has been namedone of the top 25 tech angels by Businessweek. In addition, she has been named one of"25 Influential Business Women in San Francisco/Silicon Valley You Should Follow on Twitter 2010". She has also been profiled in the 2009 Top 40 Under 40 in the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal and most recently inSan Francisco Magazine.

Ms. Zurek worked at Google for over 7 years, starting in early 2000, as one of the first ad sales executives. She built and managed the West Coast sales region, leading over 30 sales people with annual bookings of $100M+. She was responsible for inking over 200+ deals of new business, across multiple verticals, including building original partnerships with eBay, Wal-Mart, E*Trade, CNet, Cisco, and Macy's.

She has over 16 years of sales experience in both the print and Internet advertising industries. While at Google, she also founded and managed a group of national advertising agency trainers who were responsible for educating the top advertising agencies, and their Fortune 500 clients from Madison Avenue to the local San Francisco market.

Prior to joining Google, she worked at Computerworld, an IDG publication, selling print advertising to high tech, enterprise companies. Ms. Zurek received both her BA in English as well as an MBA in Marketing from Santa Clara University. Ms. Zurek has been featured in BusinessWeek, Haute Living Magazine, Inc.com, ReadWriteWeb, 57 Degrees Magazine, The New York Times, TechCrunch and theXconomyMs. Zurek is a long time member of Sand Hill Angels, having served on its board for three years from 2008-2010. Currently, she sits on the Advisory Board of ASTIA, a female entrepreneur organization. She is also both a Board Member of Web Forward/Mozilla (Firefox browser) and a Board Member of the Santa Clara University Leavey Business School.

Pietro Dova

pietro dova  Pietro was Corporate Controller and Finance Director at Google from 2001 to 2007. He was partly responsible for the Google IPO and roadshow, and directed Google’s operational and transactional accounting responsibilities worldwide. Immediately prior to joining Google,Pietrowas CFO of Employeeservice.com. From 1996 to 1999,Pietrowas VP Finance of Quote.com, an early online pioneer providing financial news and stock information to active investors.Pietrobegan his career in technology in 1988 at Oracle Corporation and held various executive finance positions through 1992. From 1993 to 1996Pietroheaded Fulcrum Technologies’ European finance operations based in Paris, France.Pietroreceived his undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from Imperial College, London and his Masters in Management from M.I.T.’s Sloan School of Management

About Michele Ellie Ahi:  Presently Co-Founder and President of Technology for myBiograph, Inc., Ellie Ahi is also an Adjunct Professor in the SCU School of Engineering, and an Investor/Member of the Software Committee of Keiretsu Forum.  She was the Co-Founder and President of Technology for AppsClip, acquired in 2013.
