Santa Clara Startup Expo 2013
The CIE partnered with the Santa Clara Entrepreneurs Organization (SCEO) club and the SCU Career Center to host the third annual StartUp Expo on Wednesday, March 6, in the California Mission Room, Benson Memorial Center. This unique career fair is focused on local startups seeking SCU talent. Approximately 60 Silicon Valley startups attended the event, connecting with more than 300 Santa Clara University students.
The fair was open to all majors, and participating employers offered paid and unpaid internships as well as part-time and full time jobs. Startup Expo also featured several Santa Clara Alumni and their startup companies, including Entefy, ReadyPulse, Social Wimzy, Celebrate-Family.com, Sepalz, and Optown. Several California Program for Entrepreneurship (CAPE) graduates from the 2010, 2011 and 2012 cohorts also participated seeking interns for their startups as well.
The purpose of the event was to expose startups in and around Silicon Valley to Santa Clara University and our exceptional student body. With our premier location in the heart of Silicon Valley, Santa Clara University is the perfect place for startup companies to showcase themselves and hire some of the most talented students around. We invite you to mark your calendars for the 2014 Startup Expo to be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2014, 5:30-7:30 pm, in the California Mission Room. Startups are welcome to contact Linda Jenkins to be included on the invitation list as soon as registration is available.
