The Santa Clara Startup Expo 2011On February 22, 2011, the undergraduate Santa Clara Entrepreneurs Organization (SCEO) hosted a The Startup Expo is a unique career fair offering students internships and employment positions at some of the leading startups in Silicon Valley, with a personal and intimate setting for internship, full-time and part-time employment opportunities for all majors. This event is co-sponsored by the Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship and the SCU Career Center.
The Startup Expo was indeed a very successful on-campus event. Over 60 startup companies were represented at the expo, with hundreds of undergraduate and graduate students in attendance. Several companies have since hired Santa Clara students, and others are still interested in potential opportunities with students from Santa Clara University. This event has not only been extremely successful to students, but to emerging companies as well. Much to its inaugural success, be prepared for the 2nd annual Startup Expo next winter!
