CIE Mentorship Program

Are you exploring entrepreneurship and curious about what it is "really like?"  Do you wonder how successful entrepreneurs and members of the venture capital community get to where they are?  Would you like the opportunity to grow your network and develop significant relationships with members of the Silicon Valley entrepreneurial community?

The CIE Mentorship Program is open to undergraduate juniors and seniors enrolled in the CIE Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Program who are ready to spend a year meeting with and establishing personal mentors in the entrepreneurial community.

When selected for the program, you will work to establish three mentors:

  • Alumni Mentor:  Santa Clara University alumni involved in entrepreneurship
  • Company Mentor:  Contact who is or was recently involved in an entrepreneurial endeavor
  • VC Mentor:  Contact who is or was involved in the venture capital field
You will coordinate monthly meetings in order to gain career advice and insight into mentors' respective entrepreneurial experiences.  Depending on individual mentor/mentee relationships, there may be opportunities for further undertakings (shadowing, on-site observation).

The CIE Mentorship Program's comprehensive agenda is designed to achieve the following objectives:

  • Assist students with internships and job placement after graduation
  • Strengthen the Santa Clara University Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship entrepreneurial network
  • Provide students with an exclusive look at "real world" applications of entrepreneurship.
