Job Description:

Upon joining Brocade, you will participate in a unique internship program which is designed to provide valuable exposure and experience in your chosen field, while educating you on the networking industry and Brocades business and products.  As a Supply Chain Analyst, the intern will get introduced to the entire operations of the organization.  The intern will be immersed in cross-functional groups to drive to results.  Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain Operations, Inventory Management is affected by all groups in supply chain.  This is a great introduction to how supply and demand impacts inventory management.  Intern will also gain experience in our global production and manufacturing, work with our contract manufacturers, and provide creative ideas and solutions to common challenges.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

Minimize quarterly reserve requirements by developing opportunities for internal and external use for Excess & Obsolescence(E&O)inventory.

Review and analyze excess inventory positions to determine cause and liability. This role will require creativity to develop opportunities for potential internal and external use. This position will allow the individual to gain valuable experience in all areas of Operations, and work with cross functional teams. There are opportunities to work with Finance, Product Management, and all areas within Operations.  Also, we are in the process of developing an Inventory Management dashboard with I.T. and the candidate will have an opportunity to help develop and test the new software.
