About Good Karma Bikes (as taken from their website):
Good Karma Bikes exists to provide homeless and low income working people with safe, reliable bicycle transportation to provide them the freedom and ability to travel to the places, appointments and people that can facilitate their improved quality of life; and sometimes, a way off the streets and into a better life.
GKB partners with homeless-services powerhouses InnVision and Loaves & Fishes Family Kitchen to reach the community members who need our GKB brand of transportation. We teach bicycle mechanic skills to interested clients, so that they may join us in service to others. The “pay it forward” spirit is strong within our community. And if that weren’t enough, we serve as credible and compelling job references for our client-volunteers through our Certified Bicycle Mechanic job skills training.
