Fall Quarter '08 Newsletter
Get to know their names: Bob Goff MBA'77 and Brad Mattson MBA '89. In the spring newsletter I asked, who are SCU's most successful alumni entrepreneurs? Your nominations flowed in and at our 3rd Annual Founders Awards we honored two winners. Bob Goff is a celebrated angel investor and Brad Mattson is the founder of not one, but two NASDAQ companies. In this newsletter, we've included their letters of wisdom for the next generation of SCU entrepreneurs.
We've also included an update on how the Center is partnering with Silicon Valley to educate technology entrepreneurs. Our Certificate in Technology Entrepreneurship (CTE) is providing 15 Fulbright Scholars with a rigorous education in startup management that leverages the myriad of resources available in the world's technology entrepreneurship capital.
Lastly, we've recapped the whirlwind of events held during Global Entrepreneurship Week at Santa Clara University. The Week culminated with the MBA Venture Capital Investment Competition (VCIC) to see which MBA team would represent SCU against the top business schools in the world.
See you in the new year,
Kevin Holmes '01
