Santa Clara University

Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship

December '09 Newsletter

This newsletter features our 2009 Founders Award recipient Jeff Miller, a double alumnus of Santa Clara University and technology entrepreneur who successfully scaled and exited Documentum for $1.7B.  We honored Jeff and thanked CIE's supporters at the well-attended 4th Annual Founders Award dinner in September.

This year's Founders Awards also marked the start of my 5th year as director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE).  It has been a period of tremendous growth, both for the Center and myself.  Today, I believe Santa Clara University has one of the best entrepreneurship programs in the world; offering undergraduate, graduate and executive entrepreneurship students unparalleled opportunities in the heart of Silicon Valley.

It continues to be my great honor and pleasure to serve SCU and our entrepreneurial community.  I hope you enjoy this issue of the CIE newsletter and wish you all the best during the holiday season and in 2010.
