As all entrepreneurs know, solid funding is crucial to launching and sustaining an innovative effort. To launch and sustain a new era of education and development at Santa Clara University, the Entrepreneurship Challenge is a new initiative to build a solid foundation for student and alumni innovation. Funding from the Entrepreneurship Challenge will allow for broader, yet more customized entrepreneurship education through the development of a formal entrepreneurship program under the aegis of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. As a result, students from numerous backgrounds and disciplines will launch new ventures with the necessary entrepreneurial skills and Jesuit inspired ethical decision-making tools to have a positive impact, not only on Silicon Valley but on a global scale.
