Global Entrepreneurship Week Speaker Bio-Don Eaton

 Join us as we celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week with a Brown Bag Lunch Seminar.  Today's speaker is Don Eaton, Founder, CEO & President of Seros Medical, LLC, with over 20 years of managerial experience as CEO of new and early-stage biopharmaceutical and medical instrument companies, and founder of four companies. 

Don Eaton’s experience in top managerial positions has spanned a large segment of the healthcare industry, where he has founded four companies. Currently he is the Founder, CEO and President of Seros Medical, LLC, an ophthalmology company focused on a laser/cross-linking treatment for myopia. 

Prior to Seros, he founded Sinexus, Inc. in 2003, which is developing a bioerodable drug delivery system for treatment of sinusitis and served as CEO and President until 2008.  Before Sinexus, 1999 to 2002, he served as Chairman, CEO and President of Oculex Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a specialty eye company which was acquired by Allergan, Inc.  Don was the founder of Mimetix, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company which focused on women’s healthcare and pain management, where he served as Chairman and CEO from 1992 until 1998. Don was the founder of Summa Care, Inc., a developer of dermatological products, and served as CEO and President from the company’s inception in 1987 to 1991. From 1984 to 1987, he served as CEO and President of Endotherapeutics, Inc., a medical device company that developed the first disposal trocar, which company was acquired by US Surgical Corp. Don served as CEO and President of Mycogen Corporation, an ag-biotechnology company from 1982 to 1984.  

Prior to becoming engaged in specialty pharmaceutical businesses, Don was President and CEO of Pay Less Drug Stores, a major West Coast retail chain. He received his BS and JD degrees from Santa Clara University and is a member of the California State Bar Association and the Idaho State Bar Association.
