CTE Students
There have been 35 participants in the Certificate in Technology Entrepreneurship program since its recent inception in 2007. In addition to possessing a promising business idea, these students hold an advanced degree (Ph.D. completed or in progress) in a scientific or technical field. Students come from diverse academic backgrounds. The main pre-requisite is the interest in better understanding Silicon Valley entrepreneurship.
In the short history of the program, many of the CTE alumni have gone on to pursuit their entrepreneurial ventures which they started in the program at SCU. These startup companies are fledgling to make an impact in a variety of industries, including:
- Life science
- Mobile gaming
- Bio-tech
- Space system engineering
