Program Format and Details
The CAAP program is composed of six undergraduate courses that are completed in approximately ten weeks. For those with no accounting knowledge, an introductory sequence is offered prior to the start of the main program. The introduction (180) can be waived if a student has prior accounting coursework.
Admission requirements include a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university (granted by June 2009). Students are encouraged to limit non-academic activities while enrolled in the program and should anticipate four to six hours of daily out-of-class study. Students must enroll in a minimum of three courses to participate in the program. Those who successfully complete Accounting 181 through 186 (with a minimum overall GPA of 2.0 and a passing grade in each class) will earn a Certificate of Advanced Accounting Proficiency from Santa Clara.
