  •  Career Talks: Steve Smith

    Please join FAI to welcome Steve Smith, Executive Vice President of Wells Fargo Bank for the first Career Talk. This series is designed to help students learn about a variety of careers from Santa Clara University alumni.

    Steve Smith will discuss the factors that influenced his decision to enter the banking field, how he has used his Santa Clara MBA and Food and Agribusiness concentration in his career and suggestions for students interested in a similar career.

    The event will be held on Monday, February 27th from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the de Saisset Museum auditorium. Appetizers will be served.

    All undergraduate freshmen, sophomores, and juniors are welcome to apply!

    All participants will be required to register for and attend a 2-unit lecture series that will take place during spring 2012:

    BUSN 151 FHPE (Food, Hunger, Poverty, Environment) Immersion: Ghana

    The course blends short lectures, guided discussions and reflections and a 10-day immersion in Ghana interacting with local people of diverse backgrounds for experiential active learning. The goal is to increase students’ understanding of the role of business in the developing world and to explore the role of business in alleviating poverty through economic development and the pursuit of social justice.
