FAI is excited to officially announce the participants of this year's immersion trip to Burma. Congratualtions Aaron Griffith, Christine Cate, Colleen Fisher, Desbelet Berhe, Garrett Jensen, Jamie Monk, Lisa McMonagle, Lynsey Cumberfod-Palmer, Maggie Jones, Nicole Orban, Olivia Benson, and Ryan Mahoney! Currently the group is enrolled in a class that meets once every other week to learn about the history and current issues in Burma. Their trip will last 13 days, from September 6th to September 19th this coming fall. Once the students are in Burma, they will have the opportunity to learn about the agriculture of various areas in Burma by speaking with the locals, explore limestone caves, and learn about Burma traditions such as silk and cotton weaving and meditation. Tentatively, FAI plans on traveling to Pindaya, Inle Lake, and Yangon, among other places. FAI can't wait for the trip and all the learning and memories that will come from it!
