- Chaired the Western Regional Coordinating Committee-72, a group of approximately 50 of the nation's leading agribusiness researchers
- Coordinate a four-week program for agribusiness executives and managers from developing countries, teaching financial, marketing and production management
- International experience includes work as the site coordinator and farming systems economist for a USAID project in Brazil and member of a team to establish the first MBA program in Uruguay
