     The Food & Agribusiness Institute offers a concentration within the MBA program that prepares students for management positions in the food and agricultural industries. Additionally, students are encouraged to enhance their coursework with any of the enrichment programs offered by the Institute.

    The concentration in Food and Agribusiness consists of two required and two elective courses:



    Complete two out of three of the following required courses:
    - MGMT 540 Social, Political, and Legal Environment of Food and Agribusiness      Firms
    - IDIS 696 Marketing Food Products
    - IDIS 622 Global, Economic, & Technical Marketing Challenges facing Food & Agribusiness Firms
     


    Choose two elective courses:
    -ACTG 698, ECON 698, FNCE 698, MKTG 698, or OMIS 698 Independent Study (Course must be on a topic approved by the Director of the Food and Agribusiness Institute)
    - ECON 432 International Trade
    - ECON 444 Emerging Markets
    - MKTG 564 International Markets
    - MKTG 566 Small Business Entrepreneurship
    - MKTG 568 Marketing Research
    - MKTG 590 Channel Marketing
    - OMIS 382 Quality Control and Improvement
    - OMIS 384 Supply Chain Management

    Students are encouraged to enhance their coursework with the enrichment programs offered by the Food & Agribusiness Institute (FAI).

    Through the Internship Program, students have the opportunity to apply their classroom education in a professional work environment.

    The FAI's Mentor Program connects students with professionals working in the students’ areas of interest.

    The Field Trips offered through the Institute expose students to the rich diversity of the food industry through domestic and international field experiences.

    In addition to enrichment programs, students are encouraged to participate in educational and social events offered throughout the year.
