Jennifer Visscher

Food and Agribusiness Specialization Student

Jen is in her second year of the MBA program at the SCU Leavey School of Business, pursuing a concentration in Marketing with the Food & Agribusiness specialization. She became interested in FAI after reading case studies on the foie gras debate in California, and she started to question what she eats, how it is marketed, and how it affects others.

She is currently serving as INC Chair for the 2013-2014 school year, hoping to provide an excellent year of programming for her fellow graduate students. Prior to relocating to the Bay Area from Canada in August 2011, Jen managed international programs with the Sunshine Foundation of Canada, a not-for-profit organization that fulfills dreams for kids with severe physical disabilities and life-threatening illnesses.

She holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Western Ontario. After completion of the program, she is looking to find the perfect role incorporating her love of not for profits with her MBA knowledge.

In her spare time she enjoys volunteering, wine-tasting, eating fantastic food, running half marathons, hiking, yoga, and traveling.
