Students who complete the Managing Technology and Innovation Concentration are eligible to have the Concentration noted on their transcripts (please see the Bulletin for the list of requirements). Take advantage of this focused set of courses to deepen your overall understanding of: the innovation context, organizing for innovation (both large firm issues and start-ups), the process of innovation (team and project management), and systems design. These courses will better prepare you to engage with the Santa Clara University technology and innovation community. Relevant University organizations include: the Leavey School of Business’ Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship; the SCU Center for Science, Technology, and Society; SCU's Tech Law Forum; and especially, the student-run Entrepreneurs’ Connection.Calendars of Events

As the year draws to a close, let's think about how to use this site to your benefit. I just went through all the calendars listed above and nothing struck me as being worthy of posting here -- but my perspective and networks are not yours. Feel free to forward announcements of events you think other MTI concentration students/alumni would find helpful. Also, feel free to point us to other websites you have found helpful. Are there particular blogs you find useful? We could create a blog referral page (perhaps a wiki?)
I have been on sabbatical this year and so our face to face interactions have been limited. Look for more on campus integration as we start the Fall term. Feel free to suggest activities. Network/club officers -- please think about how we might join forces to bring powerful events to campus. Have a safe and productive summer. This site will be live over the summer -- but will need your suggestions for content. Terri Griffith tgriffith@scu.edu http://www.TerriGriffith.com/blog
