Students who complete the Managing Technology and Innovation Concentration are eligible to have the Concentration noted on their transcripts (please see the Bulletin for the list of requirements). Take advantage of this focused set of courses to deepen your overall understanding of: the innovation context, organizing for innovation (both large firm issues and start-ups), the process of innovation (team and project management), and systems design.  

These courses will better prepare you to engage with the Santa Clara University technology and innovation community.  Relevant University organizations include: the Leavey School of Business’ Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship; the SCU Center for Science, Technology, and Society; SCU's Tech Law Forum; and especially, the student-run Entrepreneurs’ Connection.

Global Entrepreneurship Brown Bags Nov 17-21

Join the CIE as we bring Global Entrepreneurship Week to SCU with informative daily brown bag seminars Monday through Friday, November 17-21, featuring a variety of topics.

All five seminars will be held from Noon to 1 pm in the Forbes Family Conference Center in Lucas Hall.  The schedule is as follows:  

Monday, November 17: Cleantech Monday with Phil Nail, Founder & CTO of AISO


Tuesday, November 18:  Biotech Tuesday with Kenneth Linhares and Michael Patrick of Fenwick & West, LLP


Wednesday, November 19:  Social Entrepreneurship Wednesday with Global Social Benefit Incubator (GSBI) Co-Founder & Program Director Jim Koch


Thursday, November 20:  Web 2.0 Thursday with Ross Mayfield, President & Co-Founder of Socialtext


Friday, November 21: VC Panel Competition-Five teams from the Santa Clara Entrepreneur Organization (SCEO) will compete in the Be a VC venture capital competition

Bring your own lunch or stop by the Cadence Café, located just outside the Forbes Family Conference Center.  These seminars are free; however, for planning purposes, please RSVP today.
