Managing Technology and Innovation TodayOct 1 Deadline for CSTS GrantsThursday, Sep. 23, 2010From CSTS: Friday, October 1 deadline for the annual Center for Science, Technology, and Society (CSTS) Grant Program is quickly approaching. Faculty members may receive grants up to $5,000, whereas student grants may be up to $2,000 for single investigators and up to $3,000 for teams of students. The mission of the CSTS is to promote the use of science and technology for social benefit, fulfilling Santa Clara University's commitment to fashioning a more just, humane, and sustainable world. The grant program is one vehicle for doing so; examples of research areas of relevance include, but are not limited to: - investigation of the interfaces among science, technology, and society; - research, development, or application of science and/or technology for social benefit. In this context, sustainable, clean energy technologies are particularly well aligned with the Center's current sector focus in its signature GSBI program.
